Div Q is coming back for its second ever 5v5 season! We’re excited to announce that we are returning to Mountain View School in Easthampton, with plans to improve upon our work from last year. Here’s what you need to know:
- The season will run from October 6th to December 15th. There will be 6-7 regular season games followed by a single-elimination playoffs.
- Registration is August 21st until September 4th, or when all slots are filled, whichever is sooner. There will be 96 available registration slots this year, up from 80 last year. Team roster sizes are increasing from 10 to 12.
- Like last year, you will sign up as an individual, but can let us know if there are players you need to be on the same team as.
- Registration dues will likely be $80, based on increased costs compared to last season. We are committed to always waiving or reducing dues for those who can’t afford them. If you would like to pay more than $80 to help cover the costs of other community members, there will be an option during registration.
- Games are at Mountain View School in Easthampton, MA. Game times will likely be 10:30 am, 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm, and 3:00 pm.
- Our league is open to players of all skill levels! Last year, about a third of players were either beginners or had never played basketball before.
- We are a queer rec league. We keep standings and scores, have playoffs, but ultimately our goal is to have fun, be active, and build community. Our goal isn’t to replicate wider sports culture, but to create something better!
- You can invite friends and family to spectate games!
